The producers of Ellen DeGeneres Show producers hit back at claims the programme was being axed.
Speculation has been mounting that the hit American chat show will be cancelled after a 14% drop in ratings.
The 62-year-old star has faced an avalanche of allegations that she is “mean” and “rude” to her former colleagues and guests on the show – which her management has denied.
But DeGeneres’ production company confirmed the show will go on despite the rumours. The Ellen DeGeneres Show has been on TV for nearly two decades since 2003.
Viewers have dropped by 14% to a new season low of 1.2million amid the coronavirus pandemic, according to TVNewsCheck.
