Drinkers have packed into pubs and bars – with pictures showing the streets of Soho rammed on “Super Saturday” as revellers ignored social distancing rules.
For the first time since March, pubs and bars in England have been allowed to reopen, and punters have taken full advantage.
But the scenes have sparked alarm, amid concerns that the R rate in London has risen above 1 again.
There was no signs off social distancing. People took to social media to describe it as a ‘petri dish’.
